Scottsdale Desert Design Floral Show to feature local materials

Ikebana of Arizona’s Oct. 30, Fall Luncheon features a floral stage show by Japanese floral master designer Kika Shibata.

Mrs. Shibata, celebrated for her large contemporary floral expressions, will create ten exquisite floral arrangements with designer flowers and desert plant materials from the garden of Paradise Valley residents Dr. Lawrence and Carol Brecker, according to a press release.

Garden and floral design enthusiasts are encouraged to attend the program at 9:30 a.m. with luncheon following, at Chaparral Suites in Scottsdale, 5001 N. Scottsdale Road, stated the release.

Tickets are $40. Auction and raffle items include floral arrangements and Japanese art, books, and vases, the release stated.
