Scottsdale fall classes, programs to begin

The Scottsdale Parks and Recreation offers a variety of classes and programs for its residents. The city has provided the following information on classes and programs offered in the city through an e-mailed press release. For more information visit Recreation.ScottsdaleAZ.gov.

Parks and Recreation class registration begins on Aug. 10

Scottsdale Parks and Recreation leisure classes have options for all ages and registration is right around the corner. Classes offer affordable prices, experienced instructors and convenient times and locations.

Patrons can choose from a variety of classes, whether looking to get active and fit, learn a new skill or polish up an existing one. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, for residents and 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 for non- residents.

After-school programs starts Aug. 6

Registration is now available for Parks and Recreation’s community center-based after-school programs.

The Horizon, Mountain View, and Paiute community centers offer continuing education and recreational opportunities for your child from school release until 6 p.m. This includes all early release days.

Trained staff will provide fitness opportunities, sport activities, craft projects, science experiments, and much more. Ages vary depending on location. Prices start at $30 per month.

Fall Water Aerobics Classes Begin Aug. 3

Join a water aerobics class and get fit while having fun in the water.

All three year-round aquatic centers will be offering multiple water aerobics classes throughout the fall, beginning Aug. 3. There are a multitude of class styles, times and days to pick from, suiting all different skill levels.

Tennis Registration for Early Fall Session

Tennis lessons are available for juniors, adults and seniors for the early fall session.

Juniors from age 5-17 can learn tennis, improve their game or participate in match play. Adults and seniors can take weekly lesson per level or in a social setting.

Registration for the early six-week fall session, which runs Sept. 7 – Oct. 10, begins Aug. 11.
