Scottsdale summer camps that caught our eye

Scottsdale offers a range of summer camps for all ages. Some of the camps that caught our eye are:

  • Ages 10 and under: The summer sports camp at B.E.S.T Facility in Scottsdale has weekly sports camps for potty-trained kids through 10 year-olds. The last weekly session this summer is July 27-31.   • 1-8 grade camp: This camp runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday through Friday, and has three remaining sessions that will be held from June 15-26, June 29-10 and July 13-24. The camp costs $63 per session and will be held at Mohave Middle School. For more information, visit http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/sports/summerpgms.
  • 6-8 grade camp: This camp provides teens with an environment where they can be comfortable and active while meeting new people. The camp runs until July 24 in two-week sessions at Desert Canyon Middle School and Mountain View Community Center. The cost per session is $200. For more information, call 480-312-2329.
  • Youth basketball camp: This camp is for ages 8-13 and will be broken up into two age groups (8-10, 11-13). The camp runs from July 27-31, 9 a.m.-noon and each age group will be capped at 20. The camp’s emphasis is “FUNdamentals” and it is at Chaparral High School. For more information, call 480-312-7657.
