‘The Producers’ runs through Feb. 10 at Fountain Hills Theater

Mel Brooks’ “The Producers” will be on the stage of the Fountain Hills Theater through Sunday, Feb. 10.

Based on the 1968 film of the same name, the play follows the  adventures of washed-up Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his mild-mannered accountant Leo Bloom as they scheme to get rich quick by producing the most notorious flop in Broadway history.

FHT presented “The Producers” in 2011, and it won the Arizoni Award for Best Musical.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $12 for those 17 and younger. Seniors receive a $5 discount on all Thursday and Saturday performances. Discounts also are available for groups, veterans and those on active duty.
