Theatre Artists Studio to host ‘Rathmines Road’

Theatre Artists Studio in Scottsdale will present the play “Rathmines Road,” starting Sept. 27 and running on weekends until Oct. 20.

The play centers on a woman who returns to her small hometown in Irish following the death of her mother, according to a press release.

The unexpected arrival of a person from her past, however, triggers long-buried memories of a devastating event.

How she chooses to deal with those memories and the ramifications of each choice, unfold in this astounding, timely, and compelling play bristling with conflict over secret trauma and public revelation.

Dierdre Kinahan is the playwright while Judy Rollings will direct the play. The cast includes Lidia Lei Koelbel, Tom Koelbel, Larah Pawlowski, Benjamin Rojek and Anne Vogel.

The play will take the stage at Theatre Artists Studio, 12406 N. Paradise Village Parkway.

Showtimes include 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $15 for children and students under 25 with various deals for groups of 10 or more, seniors, military members.
