There’s no wrong way to attend the Fiesta Bowl Rugby & Balloon Classic, April 23, at Scottsdale Stadium. Whether you want to be in the action with a field pass or enjoy the day in the shade, there is a ticket for you.

This year, there are four ticket options to choose from and they are all family friendly – especially because all kids 12 and under get in free, according to a press release.

“The venue is perfect because there isn’t a bad seat in the house,” stated Executive Director of the Fiesta Bowl, Mike Nealy, in the release. “But when you have such an exciting match, like the one between Arizona State University and the Mexican National Team, it’s always fun to be close to the action.”

General admission is the most economical at $12 in advance and offers a true Scottsdale Stadium experience with lawn and grandstand seating. For a little more exclusivity, patrons can purchase premium grandstand tickets for $22 in advance that allows access to the first two rows of premier sections.

For patrons looking to get in on the action of the David vs. Goliath like match between ASU and the Mexican National Team at 5:10 p.m., then a field pass ticket, starting at $27 in advance, will surely get the blood rushing. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the up close and personal seats in comfort.

Along the same vein are the shaded VIP dugout access seats that boast a prime location, access to the field, and no-host bar for $45 in advance. These dugout seats and locker rooms are the domain of the San Francisco Giants every spring training at Scottsdale Stadium.

After the ASU-Mexico face off, the eight story tall Darth Vader and Yoda hot air balloons will light up the evening sky and make their Arizona debut. Though it is the first hot air balloon glow for the Southwest’s largest rugby event, it will be the event’s second year at Scottsdale Stadium, the Cactus League of the San Francisco Giants that has a new LED scoreboard this year.

This is the event’s third year. Besides Arizona State University, participating teams have included three-time defending collegiate champions Brigham Young University, USC, Ohio State, and Grand Canyon University. Last year, World Arm Wrestling Champion Travis Bagent also participated.
