The following are events and deals going on around Scottsdale for Veterans Day:

Tuesday, Nov. 10:

  • Scottsdale Community College will pay tribute to veterans and current military members as part of its Veterans Day celebration Tuesday, Nov. 10. In the morning, veterans will be honored during a ceremony at Two Waters Circle. It begins at 10:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. The ceremony is open to the public and free to attend.

Wednesday, Nov. 11:

  • 2015 Veterans Day Commemoration: 3-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, 7301 E. Indian Bend Road. Active Duty Arizona Marine Cpl. Scott Roguska is to be the keynote speaker. The program is free and open to the public. For more information call 480-312-2312.
  • Scottsdale Veterans Celebration: 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Scottsdale City Hall, Chaplain Statue, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd. The keynote speaker is to be Congressman David Schweikert.   • Scottsdale’s Museum of the West: Veterans and active duty military are to receive free admission to Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. In honor of Veterans Day, Ermal (as John Wayne) will reprise a never-recorded speech about America, written by the Duke. Paula will perform patriotic standards from the ’50s, as well as some of her original music and her award-winning yodeling. Admission to The Ermal and Paula Show is included with museum admission. The show is to be 11 a.m.-2p.m. The Museum of the West is located 3830 N. Marshall Way in Scottsdale.
  • Phoenix Veterans Day Parade: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11; starts at North Phoenix Baptist church. Visit for more information
  • Original Breakfast House: Veterans and Active Duty Military members eat free on Veterans Day at the Original Breakfast House. Patrons may choose from selected menu items (with proof of military ID) or they may select any other menu item, not listed below for a $10 off the menu price. The offer is good from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The Original Breakfast House is located 13623 N. 32nd St. in Phoenix. For more information visit or call 602-482-2328.
  • 32 Shea: To honor veterans this Veterans Day, 32 Shea is offering all active and retired military a free small coffee drink of their choice. The offer is available all day on Wednesday, Nov. 11.   • Barrio Queen: Current and retired military are to receive a free three-taco plate on Wednesday, Nov. 11. A non-expired military ID or VA card are required for tacos. For additional information visit Barrio Queen online.
  • Cibo e Vino: Veterans will be honored at Cibo e Vino in Scottsdale with a free meal with the purchase of an entrée. Menu items at Cibo e Vino include Italian flatbread, made with marinara, salami, capicola, sausage, pepperoni, romano, fontina, and basil.   • Fired Pie says ‘Thank You’ to Veterans: On Wednesday, Nov. 11, Fired Pie is offering all active or retired military a free entree. This offer is limited to one pizza or salad per person. Military members will need to show proper ID or be dressed in uniform. There is no purchase necessary to receive the free entree. Fired Pie has three Scottsdale locations: 14740 N. Northsight Blvd.; 15425 N. Scottsdale Road #100; 7014 E. Camelback Road. #577.
  • Chompie’s: Chompie’s will thank servicemen and women with a U.S. military ID all year by offering 20 percent off a single entrée.   • Kelly’s at SouthBridge: Kelly’s at SouthBridge will honor veterans by offering them 20 percent off their total bill. Kelly’s at Southbridge offers dishes such as bruschetta, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and other entrées. Visit the restaurant online for additional information on its Veterans Day deals. Kelly’s is located 7117 E. 6th Ave. in Scottsdale.
  • Papa Murphy’s: Men and women with a valid military ID will receive 50 percent off any pizza from Papa Murphy’s on Wednesday. The deal is valid for any size pizza, excluding mini-murph, sides, and desserts. Visit Papa Murphy’s website to find a location.
  • Sprinkles Cupcakes: Bring a valid military ID to Sprinkles Cupcakes in Scottsdale on Wednesday and receive a buy one get one free deal for any cupcake in the shop. Visit Sprinkles online for more information, including a list of available flavors. Sprinkles is located 4501 N. Scottsdale Road.
