Board of Visitors celebrates 100th anniversary with Charity Ball

Flower GirlsThe Board of Visitors will celebrate its 100th annual Charity Ball on Saturday, April 18.

This year, 43 Flower Girls will be presented by their fathers under the stars at the Camelback Inn. The formal dinner dance will be chaired by community volunteer, Joanie O’Connor, with the assistance of the Chairman of the Board, Mona Smith.

The Charity Ball committee has worked diligently for a year to make the event memorable.

The Board of Visitors is the oldest charitable organization in Arizona. Since 1908, The BOV has raised and awarded funds of more than $18 million to local nonprofits that serve the healthcare needs of women, children and the elderly.

The event begins with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by presentation of this year’s Flower Girls at 7 p.m.

Dinner and dancing follows the presentation.
