Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanship will hold an open house and fundraiser at its 18th Annual Hooves & Heroes event.

In recognition of its 36th lesson season, the public is invited to the celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m Saturday, April 13 at 6520 E. Jomax Road, in Scottsdale, according to a press release.

The Hooves & Heroes event is the only day of the year when the ranch is open to the public, according to the release on the nonprofit organization that teaches horsemanship to children and adults with physical disabilities free of charge since its inception in 1983.

In addition to the event’s free admission, there will be craft activities for kids, complimentary face painting, snow cones, student riding demonstrations, plus pool noodle pony races. Also, there will be a raffle and wine pull. Guests can even meet the Camelot therapy horses, according to the release.

All funds raised at the Hooves & Heroes celebration will go to program services, the release added.
