Desert Foundation Auxiliary hosts Desert Ball

The Desert Foundation Auxiliary continues a 53-year-old tradition at the Annual Desert Ball Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Phoenician Resort, 6000 E. Camelback Road in Scottsdale.

“We will once again be a celebration of family, friends and a tradition that gives back to the community,” Chairman Gina Forster said in a prepared statement.

This year, 20 debutantes from the Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and Arcadia area will be presented to the community at the Ball. These young women are all freshman in college, including six young women whose mothers are current DFA members, a press release states.

While the debutantes are being presented, guests will dine on a gourmet meal. White House Design Studio will provide the décor and floral arrangements, and The Hamptons will perform live music.

Proceeds from this year’s Ball will be distributed to For the Love of Travis and Kids in Focus.
