Hearts of Gold Gala generates more than $230,000


More than 400 guests generated over $230,000 at the 2016 Hearts of Gold Gala Feb. 6 at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, 4949 E. Lincoln Drive in Paradise Valley.

The annual fundraising event for Save the Family, co-chaired by Ryan O’Meara and Philip Johnson, owners of Palavela Home, LLC in Scottsdale, was presented by AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic.

Hearts of Gold Honorees were: Leadership – Cynthia Dunham, West Mesa CDC; Philanthropic – Ann Merritt, retired; and Corporate – AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic, represented by Dr. Kevin Wall.

The evening included live and silent auctions, dancing and faux casino gaming.

“Every year, this event reinforces for me the incredible generosity and the deep support we receive and have in the community,” said Save the Family CEO Jacki Taylor

“I am overwhelmed and so appreciative because of what that means to the families we serve.”

The 2017 Hearts of Gold Gala is scheduled Feb. 18 at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia.

Save the Family provides life-changing programs for homeless and impoverished families in the Valley, impacting more than 500 individuals and families every year through transitional and low-income housing and job readiness and placement programs designed to establish self sufficiency.
