Local non-profit holding volunteer orientation on May 23

Volunteers are needed to offer friendship and support through such serves as rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, home repair, friendly visiting and paperwork assistance.

Help a homebound elder or adult with disabilities in your neighborhood by attending a Duet volunteer organization.

Duet trains,screens and insures volunteers to be paired up with an isolated person with disabling conditions preventing them from driving.

Duet will be holding a volunteer orientation at Orangewood church, 7321 N. 10th St. in Phoenix, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on May 23.

Duet is a non-profit, interfaith organization that promotes health and well-being through a broad range of services to homebound adults, caregivers, faith communities and grandparents raising grandchildren.

Duet’s free-of-charge services are available in the greater Phoenix area.
