The event will take place 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Facings of America Showroom, 16421 N. 90th St., Scottsdale.

“A dozen professionals have chosen to design, build and donate a swanky pet palace to the Design for Dogs event, where the homes will be displayed and auctioned off to benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League,” a release stated.

Each ticket to the event comes with four wine and beer tickets, which can be redeemed with vendors at the event. Food will also be provided.

There also will be a puppy kissing booth.

The money raised at the event helps the Arizona Animal Welfare League put a roof over more than 4,000 homeless pets’ heads every year, according to the release.

AAWL is the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter.

Cost: $35 until Thursday, Jan. 31, $45 Feb. 1-21, $55 at the door. Tickets: designfordogs.org.
