U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman Jonathan T. Stich has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

According to a press release, the airman earned distinction as an honor graduate. The son of Thomas Stich, of Scottsdale, and Mary Stich, of Phoenix, he is the husband of Tabitha Stich, also of Phoenix.

The airman, a 2016 graduate of Pinnacle High School, completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies — Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills — according to the release.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force, the release added.
