Valley Chili’s to participate in Waste Note Give Back Event

For the 10th year in a row, all 22 Chili’s restaurants across the Valley will host a fundraiser for Waste Not, a local 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that has been feeding Arizona’s hungry for over 30 years.

There is one Chili’s in Scottsdale at 8991 E. Talking Stick Way. To participate in the Waste Not Give Back Event from May 16-29, residents should mention the event to their server, according to a press release.

Chili’s will then donate 15% of each check from guests dining out for Waste Not. The Chili’s Gives Back campaign will also allow guests to contribute to Waste Not’s cause by way of making a donation — in any denomination — at time of purchase at the restaurant.

Over the past nine years, Chili’s has donated over $210,000 to Waste Not and with every $1 donated, Waste Not can feed five hungry people, a release states.

One in four children go to bed hungry every night in our community and Waste Not answers this need by daily transferring up to 10,000 pounds of perishable, excess food — food that would otherwise be thrown out by local food purveyors — to over 60 different agencies that feed those who need it the most.
