You Are Not Alone: NAMI offers free 6-week course on mental illness

The Valley of the Sun chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will sponsor the NAMI Basics Education Program, specifically for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents with mental illness.


The six-week series of classes begins in Scottsdale on Tuesday, March 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road.

The free course will cover information about ADHD, Major Depression Bipolar Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and more, as well as coping skills and basic information about medication and problem solving skills.
