1,908 graduate from the Scottsdale Unified School District

Scottsdale Unified School District last week said farewell to 1,908 graduating students.

“I am confident that our students are well-prepared for whatever comes next, whether that be college or career,” said Dr. Denise Birdwell, interim superintendent for SUSD in a prepared statement.

Students at Arcadia High School, Chaparral High School, Coronado High School, Desert Mountain High School and Saguaro High School all graduated on Thursday, May 26. Students graduated from Scottsdale Online High School on May 24th.

Scottsdale Unified School District has a 90 percent graduation rate and 92 percent of students go onto college. Additionally, the class of 2016 earned over $55 million in scholarship dollars.

“We congratulate our high school students on their accomplishments and wish them the best in their future endeavors,” said Dr. Mitch von Gnechten, executive director of secondary education, in the press release.
