Before receiving their diplomas, three Horizon High School students earned their Associate of Arts degree through the Dual Enrollment program with Rio Salado College.

Connor Little, Matthew Thomas and Peter Godfrey received their diploma at the Rio Salado College graduation ceremony on May 11. They received their high school diploma on May 26th.

Dual enrollment allows students to earn high school and college credit at the same time, sometimes earning an associate’s degree by the time they finish high school like Mr. Little who will attend the University of Arizona, this fall. Similarly, Mr. Thomas will attend Trinity University and Mr. Godfrey will attend Northern Arizona University.

They will enter college two years ahead of their peers, according to a press release
