The Arizona Animal Welfare League is partnering with Foothills Food Bank in Cave Creek to offer low-cost vaccinations and microchipping on Saturday, July 9.

Services are available to the public, as well as food bank clients. The vaccine and microchip clinic runs from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Foodbank clients can receive free 4-in-1 and rabies vaccines for cats & dogs. They must complete a voucher request at the food bank.

Others can get vaccines for $18 each or $45 for 3 vaccines (same pet) and $20 microchips. Paying clients should e-mail the food bank at mark@foothillsfoodbank.com to be assigned an appointment time to reduce waiting. The food bank can also be reached at 480-488-1145.

All dogs must be on a leash or in carrier and cats must be in carriers, according to a press release.

The food bank is at 6038 E. Hidden Valley Drive in Cave Creek. The Foothills Food Bank serves the area from I-17 east to Rio Verde and from Pinnacle Peak Road north to Black Canyon City.

The Scottsdale Independent is published monthly and mailed to 75,000 homes and businesses in Scottsdale.
