Alessio named Notre Dame Prep’s 2019 valedictorian

Scottsdale resident Gabriella Alessio was recently announced as valedictorian at Notre Dame Preparatory High School, class of 2019.

Miss Alessio attended Grayhawk Elementary and Explorer Middle School before entering NDP.

In addition to excelling in academics, Miss Alessio’s extra curricular activities included varsity letters in sand volleyball, track and field and robotics, as well as multiple leadership roles in student government, regional leadership conferences and Christ’s Church of the Valley Scottsdale Campus, according to a press release.

She received offers to study biomedical engineering from UCLA, Purdue, Michigan, Texas A&M and UCSD, and ultimately decided to accept an offer to attend the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University.

The high school senior received multiple scholarships to attend ASU including being selected as an outstanding incoming freshman in the Leadership Scholarship Program founded by Dr. Christine Wilkinson, senior vice president at ASU.
