BASIS Scottsdale senior Daphne Li-Chen earned a perfect score on the AP Seminar assessment.
Daphne is the only student of the 12,466 students who took the exam to achieve a perfect score, according to a press release.

“Daphne’s score is especially impressive considering the challenging nature of AP Seminar,” said BASIS Scottsdale teacher Lyndsay Haag in a prepared statement.

The AP Seminar assessment is a foundational course that engages students in cross-curricular conversations that explore the complexities of academic and real-world topics and issues by analyzing divergent perspectives.

“Since AP Seminar asks students to engage in multiple disciplines, her score is not only evidence of her ability to research and build strong arguments, but also proves her aptitude across many fields of study,” Ms. Haag said.

“Moreover, Daphne’s diligence and dedication each day in the classroom further demonstrate what a worthy candidate she is of this acknowledgement.”
