The Scottsdale City Council adopted a resolution on consent authorizing architectural services to design Fire Station 616, during its Aug. 30 regular meeting.

The contract was awarded to Breckenridge Group Architects/Planners in the amount of $310,859.50 to provide design services and authorize initiation of a Municipal Use Master Site Plan for Fire Station 616.

The facility is proposed on Cave Creek Road, west of 110th Street, according to the Aug. 30 city council report.

The scope of services will involve planning and design for a new fire station to serve the Desert Mountain area of Scottsdale, the report states. The project will be designed over the next 12 months, and construction will begin in late 2017. It is planned to be completed in 2018.
