Scottsdale Bar Association slates talk on cannabis laws in Arizona

Jerry Chesler of Chesler Consulting will present “Cannabis Law for Arizona Lawyers” at the 2016 CLE luncheon meeting presented by the Scottsdale Bar Association.

The luncheon will be held July 13 at the Gainey Ranch Golf Club, 7600 Gainey Club Drive, Scottsdale.

Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. and the program begins shortly after noon.

Mr. Chesler will briefly review federal and state marijuana laws (both medical and recreational use), and address legal issues important to the cannabis industry, such as banking/money laundering, and federal and state taxation.

He will also focus on Arizona specific issues, such as new medical marijuana dispensary certificate allocations, the new Arizona regulator, and structuring Arizona operations.  Other state and local issues, such as contract enforcement, employment issues, and regulatory structures, will also be addressed.
