Celebrate Arbor Day with the city of Scottsdale April 13

The city of Scottsdale is to be be observing Arbor Day April 13 at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, 7301 E. Indian Bend Rd.

The celebration begins at 9 a.m. with Parks and Recreation Director Reed Pryor officiating the ceremony. Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane will read the city’s proclamation, followed by a presentation from the Arizona Forestry Division, recognizing Scottsdale for being “Tree City USA.”

The Scottsdale Garden Club will donate a 24-inch Red Push Pistache tree to the city, according to a press release.
