Scottsdale native, Charlie James was recently voted the University of Arizona Wildcats 2015-16 hockey Rookie of the Year.

In 25 games played, Mr. James posted three goals and two assists during his freshman season, according to a press release.

“We have only seen the beginning of Chuck’s development,” stated Coach Chad Berman in the release. “He constantly stays after practice, putting in the extra work to improve. That is something that is not lost on our coaching staff. It’s not hard to root for a kid like that.”

“Chuck plays with an edge and brings it every day. As he grows into his body and gains some confidence, he will be a real force on the fore-check. We think we have a good young player that has a chance to develop into an impactful power-forward.”
