City hosts meeting to discuss plans to repair Indian School Lake

The public is invited to learn about plans to rehabilitate Indian School Lake, located on the northwest corner of Indian School and Hayden roads, within the Indian Bend Wash Greenbelt.

The lake is used to irrigate the surrounding park. Its liner is deteriorating and needs to be replaced to stop water loss.

An informational meeting on the project will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the Indian School Park Community Center, 4289 N. Hayden Road.

Construction begins Monday, April 4, and will take about five months. Crews will be working between sunrise and sunset Monday through Friday.

During construction the lake will be drained and several of the paths around the lake will be closed. Animals living in and around the lake will be relocated before construction starts.
