The Community Council of Scottsdale is welcoming the pubic to attend its monthly meeting to discuss the draft Scottsdale General Plan 2035.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road, in room 8.

This month’s guest speaker will discuss the citizen-created draft Scottsdale General Plan 2035, which provides the collective vision for how Scottsdale will evolve over the next 10-20 years, according to a press release.

The plan includes goals and policies about land use, transportation, economic development, neighborhoods, public safety, growth areas and other topics important to the city.

The city is required by law to update the General Plan and resident input is important to the updating process, the release stated.
