Dispose of papers at Shred’em event in Scottsdale Sept. 26

Shred Em

Protect your identity and get rid of all those papers in boxes and crates that need disposed of in a secure place.

The Salt River Police Department along with AZLEOS, will be working together to host shred’em events on Sept. 26 and Oct. 24, at the Walmart parking lot on Pima and Chaparral Roads. The event will run 8 a.m.-11 a.m. or until the truck is full, according to a press release.

Cost will be a tax-deductible $5 per box that will go to help under served children who attend Project Blue Christmas Shop with a Cop at Scottsdale Community College on Dec. 19, according to the release.  Receipts will be given on site by AZLEOS members.

Items that residents bring will be shredded on site, the release stated.

For more information and guidelines on shredding visit www.arizonaleos.com. Plan to take your box home. Only the contents can be shredded, not the box.
