Double homicide occurs at Scottsdale apartment complex


The Scottsdale Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in south Scottsdale on Monday, Nov. 9, according to officials.

Officers responded to the sound of shots fired at Hayden Park Apartments, 3015 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale at approximately 5:50 p.m. Upon arrival officers discovered two male victims, both with multiple gunshot wounds, at a unit within the complex, stated a police report.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, the report stated; the second victim was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

The two victims were identified as Martin Ellison, 25, and Keaton Litke, 23. The involved apartment was being leased by the two victims when the incident occurred, according to police.

The two male suspects were reported to have fled the scene prior to the officers arriving, officials stated.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to police.
