“The Fiesta Bowl is pleased to partner with PlayStation to present this year’s PlayStation Fiesta Bowl,” said Mike Nealy, Fiesta Bowl executive director, in a prepared statement.

“PlayStation’s commitment to creating unique and ex-citing experiences matches our desire to deliver one-of-a-kind events to fans each year.”

The category exclusive multiyear deal makes PlayStation the official gaming and virtual reality sponsor of the CFP. ESPN will collaborate with PlayStation on multimedia content integrations across ESPN programming, featuring the PlayStation brand messaging, “Greatness Awaits,” to drive excitement and anticipation for the CFP.

“As leaders in entertainment and technology, ESPN and PlayStation share some of the most passionate fans in the world. The demo-graphic drawn to PlayStation also consumes ESPN content, and the Fiesta Bowl is an excellent vehicle to reach those passionate college football fans,” said Ed Erhardt, president of ESPN global sales and marketing, in a press release.

This multimedia deal — TV and digital — is part of a broader agreement that includes other marquee ESPN programming throughout the year.
