Foothills Food Bank seeks food donations for the holidays

The Foothills Food Bank and Resource Center seeks crucial foodstuff for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

The northern foothills food bank will feed more than 500 families each month in the community through the holidays, stated a press release.

According to executive director Pam DiPietro, the items, known as part of Fixin Bags, are needed to supplement the meat/protein dinners.

The food items, in order of importance, are:

  • stuffing
  • potatoes
  • yams
  • gravy
  • cranberry sauce
  • pumpkin pie filling
  • pie crust
  • green beans
  • French onions
  • cornbread
  • cake w/frosting or cookie or brownie mix
  • Jell-O/pudding
  • black olives
  • candy
  • Christmas or Thanksgiving themed trinket

Food items are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center is located at 6038 E. Hidden Valley Drive in Cave Creek.
