Free talk explains Scottsdale’s new green-home standards

Scottsdale has a new set of green-home standards that can help improve energy performance and save owners money.

Residents are invited to learn about the changes at Scottsdale’s next Green Building Lecture from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road.

Scottsdale’s new rating system reflects industrywide changes in the home building market. The system addresses regional environmental impacts including site ecology, energy efficiency, water conservation, material impacts and indoor environmental quality.
