In celebration of the nation’s birthday, Hyatt Regency Scottsdale will feature a patriotic weekend of fun-filled activities, games, entertainment and food and drink, complete with the resort’s signature Red, White and Boom Fireworks Extravaganza.

Guests can splash into the 2.5 acre water playground with 10 pools, spiral down the 30-foot three-story high speed water slide or hit the sandy beach.

New to the resort this summer is the beach-side putting green and a 28-foot rock climbing wall with a section for younger children. There are also poolside cabanas and H2Oasis, a poolside restaurant.

The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale will be offering room specials during the weekend, according to a press release.

From Friday, July 1-Monday July 4, there will be activities planned for all ages, including water slide races, watermelon eating contest, patriotic crafts and a dive-in movie.

The Red, White and Blue Picnic is to be the evening of July 4, for an additional cost. Included is a bottle of champagne for the adults and a non-alcoholic “sparkly” for the children.
