Library hosts conversations with Holocaust survivor

Local author and educator Valerie Foster and Holocaust survivor Helen Handler share Handler’s experiences in Auschwitz in a talk planned Nov. 15 at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library.

Ms. Foster’s book, “The Risk of Sorrow: Conversations with Holocaust Survivor Helen Handler,” explores faith, forgiveness, love and survival.

The free program will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Civic Center Library, 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd.
