MCSO: toddler drowns in Cave Creek hot tub

A two-year-old girl has died after being found in a hot tub by her grandmother on July 1.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 5700 block of east Canyon Ridge North Drive in Cave Creek.

When Sheriff’s deputy’s arrived on the scene, they found that the two-year-old girl’s grandmother had pulled her out of the hot tub and began CPR. Sheriff’s deputies took over CPR until Rural Metro Fire arrived.

They continued CPR during ground transport to a local area hospital where the little girl was pronounced deceased.
