One  woman has been arrested on felony charges after a standoff incident occurred at Agua Linda Park in central Scottsdale on Monday, Dec. 10, police officials say.

At approximately 1:20 p.m. on Monday, Scottsdale Police Department officers attempted contact with a female subject who was the lone occupant of a stolen vehicle at Agua Linda Park, 8732 E. McDonald Dr.

The female subject was non-compliant with officer instructions and advised that she had a weapon, Scottsdale police said in a statement to the Independent.

Barricade procedures were initiated and negotiations were attempted.

The female continued her erratic behavior and non-compliance, refusing to exit the vehicle, police say.

She was eventually taken into custody with the assistance of a police canine. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment and will be booked on numerous felony charges upon release, according to police officials.
