Police ask for help identifying north Scottsdale armed robber

The Scottsdale Police Department is requesting help from the public in identifying a suspect wanted for Armed Robbery.

A male wearing a Halloween mask entered the Superpumper convenience store located 1550 N. Thompson Peak Pkwy., at 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, armed with a hatchet, according to police.

He confronted the cashier with the hatchet and demanded money, police said. The cashier put money from the register in a bag. The suspect took the bag and left the store.

mask-2Several seconds later he re-entered the store and ordered the cashier into the back office. The suspect then stole merchandise and cigarettes, placing all items in the same bag used when first entering the store and fled the scene on foot, police said.

The male suspect is described as 6-foot, 200-pounds, slim build, wearing a long sleeve black shirt, dark colored jeans, black gloves, black shoes, wearing a rubber zombie-clown Halloween mask with gray hair and yellow teeth.
