Prepare your family during National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month and the city of Scottsdale advices this is a great time to help prepare your family for emergency situations.

By developing an emergency preparedness plan, you can outline what each family member needs to do in an emergency, stated a press release.

That knowledge can avoid stress and confusion. Also helpful is making a “Go Kit” which can include food and water, medication, money, contact information and locations to meet, stated the release.

Discussing this information with your family will place them a step ahead if disaster strikes. For more information about building your family emergency plan and a “Go Kit” call 480-312-8000 and dial “0.”
