Scottsdale Airport closed after plane veers off runway

The Scottsdale Airport has announced on Twitter that the airport is closed “due to an aircraft incident.”

At 2:26 p.m. the airport tweeted: “ Airport is closed due to an aircraft incident. An aircraft went off the end of the runway. Airport Ops and Fire have responded.”

At 3:03 p.m., the airport tweeted that the airport was still closed, along with some information about the condition of passengers aboard.

Airport is still closed; Falcon 20 veered off the end of Rnwy 21; 4 ppl aboard & no injuries reported,” the airport tweeted.

The airport is working to remove the aircraft and anticipates reopening in two hours, the twitter page stated at 3:53 p.m.
