Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce president, CEO resigns

President and CEO of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, Rick Kidder, instructed the board on June 11 of his resignation to take place on July 17.

Rick Kidder 2According to a letter by Mr. Kidder on June 16, he has been chosen to lead a chamber in New Bedford, Mass. A New England native, he says he is excited and energized about returning home to complete his career.

Mr. Kidder says New Bedford is “a modern small city with a wonderful historic district and an unquestionable potential for greatness.”

Chair and Board of Directors of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce say Eric Larson, former board chair and longtime supporter of the chamber, has agreed to serve as interim president and CEO until the committee has found a new leader.
