Scottsdale City Council OKs zoning map amendment for Cattletrack subdivision

Scottsdale City Council approved a zoning map amendment of a 2.1-acre site at 5713 N. Cattletrack Road along the Arizona Canal at its Friday, Dec. 2 meeting.

The amendment allows a change from single-family residential district to single-family residential district, planned residential district. Additionally, the council approved the change to come with a development plan and amended development standards in order to allow for a four-lot subdivision.

Along with the changes, council also accepted the document “Cattletrack Village Development Plan” into public records as part of the request. According to the proposal, the two existing single-family structures will be demolished in order to make way for the gated subdivision.

In its recommendation for approval, Scottsdale planning staff offered a proposed maximum height of buildings in the lot to be no more than 30 allowing no two-story buildings through a private restriction in the northern two lots.
