Scottsdale city manager recruitment begins

The recruitment process for Scottsdale’s next city manager is underway.

The Mercer Group, Inc. will conduct the nationwide search. The position will be open until 5 p.m. Monday, April 25, according to the city of  Scottsdale’s website.

The recruitment process will employ various channels to identify and attract top qualified candidates who may be a good fit to lead Scottsdale’s workforce in the future. After an extensive screening process identifies finalists, those individuals will be evaluated in a number of different situations to assess their expertise and leadership style.

The process is expected to culminate in June, when finalists receive a city tour, are personally and publicly interviewed by the council and then a final selection is made. That schedule would put a new city manager in place sometime this summer, the release stated.
