Scottsdale Community Assistance Office solicits funding applications

Scottsdale’s Community Assistance Office is soliciting applications for fiscal year 2016-17 to receive funding from several local and federal sources.

Those sources include:

  • Scottsdale Cares, the city’s voluntary utility bill donation program
  • City General Fund grants for public services
  • Endowment funds
  • Community Development Block Grant and HOME programs

Qualifying organizations must be either tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or be city of Scottsdale programs.

Those interested in applying for and learning more about funding are invited to attend an applicant orientation meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Paiute Neighborhood Center, 6535 E. Osborn Road, Building 9 (located on the southwest side of the complex).

Copies of the application packet will not be available at the orientation, so attendees must print the appropriate documents in advance.

The deadline for application submission is 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13.

The applications will be available online starting Tuesday, Sept. 29. Visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov and search “social services funding information.”
