Scottsdale intersection closed due to pedestrian, vehicle accident

Scottsdale Police and Fire Departments responded to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in the intersection of Marshall Way and Indian School Road, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, according to officials.

Investigators determined a white sedan was traveling westbound on Indian School Road when it struck a female pedestrian in the east crosswalk, police stated.

The female was crossing the street heading north on a foot-powered scooter, police stated. The female pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The intersection will be closed for several hours while the investigation is being conducted, according to police.
