Scottsdale mayoral candidates to face-off at Sept. 27 debate

Both Scottsdale mayoral candidates will have a chance to give their stance on topics surrounding the city during an upcoming debate on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

Mayor Jim Lane and challenger Bob Littlefield will take to the stage at the Doubletree Resort by Hilton at 5401 N. Scottsdale Road from 6 to 8:30 p.m. with Scottsdale Independent Editor Terrance Thornton moderating the event.

Residents will vote for a new mayor, as well as three new city council members, at the Tuesday, Nov. 8 general election.

The Scottsdale Independent and Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce will host another debate on Tuesday, Oct. 4 where city council candidates incumbents Suzanne Klapp, Virginia Korte and Guy Phillips as well as challenger Dan Schweiker will debate local topics that matter.

That debate will also take place at the Doubletree Resort by Hilton from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
