The Scottsdale Police Department has arrested suspect Michael Bradshaw Elcock in connection to a string of bicycle thefts throughout the city.

At 10:15 p.m. on June 14, Scottsdale patrol officers responded to a call of a subject stealing a bicycle at the Scottsdale Waterfront Condos, 7175 E. Camelback Road.

Security personnel reported seeing a male suspect on surveillance video exiting a locked bike cage on the property and leaving through the parking garage. The male suspect was stopped by a patrol officer and a short foot pursuit ensued, according to police.

The male suspect was quickly taken into custody and the stolen bicycle was recovered.

The suspect was identified as Michael Bradshaw Elcock, 36. Elcock was identified as the suspect in the two previous bike thefts on March 13, police stated.

Detectives are currently investigating Elcock’s involvement in other bicycle thefts in Scottsdale and around the Valley.
