Scottsdale teacher accused of sexual relationship with student

On Tuesday, Dec. 9, Scottsdale police arrested a Scottsdale Unified School District teacher accused of carrying on a sexual relation with an underage student, according to officials.

Christopher Thomas McKenna, 37, has been arrested on counts of Luring a Minor for Sexual Exploitation and six counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor, stated police records.

Officials stated that McKenna had an ongoing sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student from 2014 to present.

McKenna is a teacher and a high school track coach within SUSD. He has been booked and is being held on felony charges.

At this time the investigation is still in progress but there are no indications of additional victims, stated police.
