Two-car collision strikes pedestrian in south Scottsdale

A pedestrian waiting on a street corner was struck by a vehicle following a two-vehicle collision on the afternoon of Friday, Jan. 11, police officials say.

The male pedestrian was waiting with a scooter near Miller and Thomas roads in Scottsdale when a left-turn-related collision between two vehicles occurred.

One of the vehicles then struck a pedestrian on the corner who was waiting, Scottsdale Police Department officials say.

The male was transported to an area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said.
