Unofficial Scottsdale election results: bond questions 4, 5 pass

The unofficial Nov. 3 Maricopa County election results show that Scottsdale bond questions No. 4, “street pavement replacement,” and No. 5, “public safety – fire,” have passed.

Six bond questions were up forapproval. Their unofficial results were:

  • Question 1: Parks and Community Facilities $31.9 million
    • Failed 52.6 percent to 47.4 percent
  • Question 2: Transportation $16.5 million
    • Failed 51.4 percent to 48.5 percent
  • Question 3: Citywide Technology $6.9 million
    • Failed 51.5 percent to 48.5 percent
  • Question 4: Street Pavement Replacement $12.5 million
    • Passed 53.1 percent to 46.9 percent
  • Question 5: Public Safety-Fire $16.4 million
    • Passed 54.4 percent to 45.6 percent
  • Question 6: Public Safety-Police $11.8 million
    • Failed 51.4 percent to 48.6 percent

The transportation category fund improvements are to be used at the intersection of Hayden Rd. and Chaparral Rd. It would also fund improvements of Highland Ave. and improve downtown pedestrian environments.

The proposed bond for fire safety is to improvement Fire Stations 605, 613, and 616. It will also fund the relocation of Fire Station 603.
