Update: 4 arrested during narcotics search by Scottsdale SWAT

Four people have been taken into custody following a July 29 Scottsdale SWAT team narcotics search in Glendale, according to police officials.

At approximately 5:50 a.m. on July 29, the Scottsdale Police Department SWAT team served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the area of 46th Avenue and Butler Drive in Glendale, as part of an on-going investigation.

Initially, two females and one male surrendered and were detained, police said. One male suspect refused to surrender and barricaded himself inside the home.

At 8:50 a.m. the outstanding male suspect was found hiding in the attic and taken into custody.

Some evacuations of surrounding homes did take place, said police officials. However, the threat to the community was isolated to one residence.

The investigation is on-going at this time.
